It is with heavy heart St. Cornelius must announce that the state of Pennsylvania ordered all schools to remain closed through the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Preparing for a crisis of this magnitude never crossed anyone’s mind, but St. Cornelius and the rest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia demonstrated the ability to react proactively.
Despite not meeting in person, our teachers continue to work to bring your children their education and allow it to continue as planned, even though no one planned to learn from home as the new normal. Thanks to current technology, teachers interact with students on a day to day basis with everyone able to see each other. Catholic schools understand the responsibility of educating your children, and not pushing it back to the parents during this time. As we all come together, while staying at home, maintaining some normalcy is more important than ever.
Currently, we anticipate opening as planned for the 2020-2021 school year and we hope you continue as part of our family. We are dedicated to bringing your child the best education available, as well as building the community and relationships already established. Our faculty and staff miss coming to school to see everyone and interact in person, and we know the same is true of you and your child. Now is the perfect time to re-register for the upcoming school year. Keep your St. Cornelius community growing for years to come!
For families considering joining our community, do not hesitate. Your child’s needs are our priority, and during times of uncertainty, we continue to rise to the occasion and will ensure your child continues to receive their education. Help us grow our community; we will always be here to support you.
We miss coming to school every day and cannot wait to meet again!
